Automation Engineer Wanted for Life Science

Are you an experienced automation engineer with expertise in Siemens (PLC or DCS) and the process industry? Our client is now looking for a technically driven consultant who wants to work closely with leading pharmaceutical companies and contribute to the development of advanced production environments.

ABOUT THE POSITION

In the role of automation engineer, you will work on-site with Life Science clients programming, optimizing, and troubleshooting Siemens-based control systems. You will be part of a strong engineering team that works in project form and develops advanced production processes in a regulated environment. The role is fully on-site with the client and offers great opportunities for both technical and personal development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Duties

The role involves working with advanced PLC programming/DCS programming, system integration, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation and production within the process industry. You will be an important part of a team that creates and improves automated solutions for our clients' customers.

  • Program PLC or DCS systems.
  • Resolve client issues in operations and production.
  • Connect and integrate sensors and equipment.
  • Work in process teams with engineers and process owners.
  • Optimize production lines.
  • Set up new production lines or automated processes.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has at least 2 years of practical experience with Siemens automation systems (PCS7 or S7) - experience can relate to both DCS and PLC environments.
  • Has experience in troubleshooting, programming, design, and optimization of control systems.
  • Has experience with SCADA, DCS, or MES integrations.
  • Has documented experience working in process-intensive environments such as Life Science, pharmaceuticals, food, energy, or other regulated industries.
  • Can speak and write fluently in Swedish and English.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • A technical education at the college/university level in automation, electronics, or mechatronics.
  • Experience with GMP/GAMP5.
